Ask the installer for the finished reading after the film is on the glass, because a film rated at 35% will measure lower once applied to factory glass, and that combined figure is what a WoF inspector checks. There is no licence or registration scheme for window tinters or wrap installers in New Zealand, but a car's colour is recorded on the Motor Vehicle Register, and if a wrap changes the main colour, NZTA form MR16 is the form used to update those details.
